Tailwater
A timber-and-stone retreat on the South Fork of the Snake, at the gates of Yellowstone and Grand Teton.

Overview
Tailwater sits on a private stretch of the South Fork of the Snake River — one of the most storied trout fisheries in North America — with the Tetons rising to the east and Yellowstone country an easy morning drive north.
The residence is scaled and detailed for the outdoors: mudroom-first circulation, drying rooms for waders and gear, a river-facing hearth that anchors the great room, and long, low porches that read the light through cottonwood and aspen.
Architecture
Grounded in place.
A contemporary interpretation of Western timber-frame — hand-hewn Douglas fir posts, thick moss-rock chimneys, standing-seam metal roofs, and a covered river porch that runs the length of the home.
Interior Design
Warm. Restrained. Considered.
Wool, waxed canvas, oiled leather, and blackened steel. Bookshelves that expect to be used. A great room that improves with a fire in it.
Amenities
Every detail, attended to.
